Nets Community Efforts Shift to NYC

Increasingly, New York City is the focus of the Nets' community efforts, with all but two of the team's eight "We Are Here for You" events this summer set in New York and most of those are part of the city's summer programming for kids.

Three times this summer, most recently Sunday, the Nets participated in the NYC Summer Streets program,  It has also twice been part of the Harlem Chamber of Commerce's Children's Festival. Next month, the "We Are Here for You" schedule concludes with the Brooklyn "Urban Parent Expo", which is run in partnership with the city and Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Two New Jersey events, the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance's City of Water Day at Liberty State Park and Nets Day at a Newark Bears Game took place in July.
