With four Net guards having inked overseas contracts and another, Sundiata Gaines, talking to international teams, is MarShon Brooks tempted to join them?
Nope, says his agent Seth Cohen. Brooks isn't interested in playing overseas. Instead he will be using the lockout to get his degree from Providence. Brooks played four years at Providence, finishing as the Big East's top one-season scorer ever, but spent his last semester preparing for the NBA draft. He is pursuing a degree in Social Sciences.
"If I would have signed my contract, maybe I would have thought about it," said Brooks a few weeks ago when asked about signing overseas. "But with no contract signed, I don’t even want to take a chance."
Meanwhile, a new cellphone video of Brooks' "unlimited range" has shown up on YouTube. It is as advertised.
