The Nets will co-sponsor the first annual coaches clinic to benefit "In Brayden’s Eyes, The Brayden Carr Foundation" which takes place at the Rutgers Athletic Center on September 30. The Nets join Rutgers, WFAN and Modell’s as partners for the clinic.
"We are very pleased to have the opportunity to join with Rutgers and these other great sponsors in presenting this very worthwhile event," said Billy King. The clinic honors the memory of Brayden Carr, who died at age 2 after battling seizures. Brayden was the son of Jim Carr, Rutgers director of basketball operations, and his wife, Natalie.
The clinic will feature lectures by Jeff Van Gundy, Larry Brown, John Calipari, Bill Self, Bob Hurley, Sr. and Mike Rice. It's open to all coaches.
