Deron Williams will begin playing for Beşiktaş Black Eagles on Sept 27 in a EuroCup match-up in Istanbul against Dexia Mons of Belgium, then after a return match on October 4, will return to Istanbul for the Turkish Cup competition, which runs October 7 - 9.
The 16-team Turkish League regular season begins on October 15 and runs to April 22, according to a league release Friday. Play-offs begin April 25 with the finals running through June 3. Both Bojan Bogdanovic and Sasha Vujacic will also be playing in the Turkish Cup and the Turkish League regular season, Bogdanovic with league favorite Fenerbache and Vujacic with Efes Andalou. All three play in Istanbul venues.
Beşiktaş has also released a photo of Williams in his Black Eagles uniform jersey. "I am thrilled to be part of this great club and can’t wait to step on the court again. I expect to be in Istanbul early September," said the NBA All-Star.
