Deron Williams and Kobe Bryant, who've been teammates three times, won't be playing together in Turkey next season. According to his Turkish agent, the offer from Williams' team was too low and Bryant has called off talks. Besiktas officials said last week that if Bryant didn't accept their offer, they would move on to Kevin Durant, whose agent confirmed the talks.
Besiktas, who plays in the Turkish League but not the Euroleague, hopes to pair Williams with another NBA star. Williams' salary will not be paid by Besiktas directly but by two oil companies controlled by Besiktas' owner.
