Sitting in his hometown of Torrington, CT, Thursday night, Jordan Williams didn't know what to expect. As team after team made their pick, anxiety built up and when the Nets made him their choice at #36, he succumbed to all the emotions, collapsing in tears...and all of it on camera.
Talking later with Comcast Sports Net Baltimore, Williams spoke about how he didn't know the Nets were going to take him and laid out where he thinks he'll need to improve his game for the NBA. "My whole game needs work," he said. From a historical perspective though, Williams has one advantage. Last time the Nets picked a 6'9" PF named Williams out of Maryland, things worked out. Fella's name was Buck.
