Nets May Have Only One FIBA Rep

Dan Gadzuric may be the only Net playing in this year's regional FIBA tournaments around the world. The 6'11" center is listed on the Netherlands preliminary roster.  The Dutch squad is playing in FIBA Eurobasket competition, to be held in Lithuania. Gadzuric is a free agent this summer.

Johan Petro, who declined to participate in last year's FIBA World Championships with his native France, wasn't  selected for "Les Bleus", the French team while Sasha Vujacic has feuded with the Slovenian basketball federation leadership.  He hasn't played for Slovenia since joining the NBA.  Ben Uzoh, whose parents are Nigerian, had talked about playing in Afrobasket, but isn't on the preliminary Nigerian roster.

The top finishers in the FIBA regional tournaments will be invited to play in the 2012 Olympics in London. Team USA gets a pass this summer in the Tournament of the Americas after winning the FIBA World Championship last year.  Both Deron Williams and Brook Lopez have expressed interest in playing for Team USA in London.
