The Nets' losing streak reached six games on Sunday, though they did show some fight against a title contender before falling to the Heat 108-94 at the Prudential Center.

It looked like another blowout early, with the Heat making 15 of their 20 shots in the first quarter and leading by as many as 21 points in the second. But the Nets cut the lead to 14 by halftime and scored the first six points of the third quarter. They got to within six midway through the fourth, but an 11-2 run gave the Heat a double-digit cushion that they maintained until the final buzzer.

Miami shot 56 percent for the game and was led by LeBron James, who finished with 31 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. The Nets shot just 40 percent from the field and 7-for-27 from 3-point range. Deron Williams led them with 18 points and 12 assists. Travis Outlaw added 17 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
