Nets assistant Larry Krystkowiak is the new head coach at the University of Utah, and will be introduced at a press conference on Monday. Krystkowiak signed a multi-year contract late Saturday night, ending his one-year tenure under Avery Johnson, who had said last week, "We'd hate losing him."
Krystkowiak's experience at the collegiate level consists of two seasons at his alma mater, Montana, where he led the Grizzlies to the NCAA tournament both years (2004-2006) and getting one win in the tournament against Nevada. He compiled a record of 42-20 while at Montana. He was also head coach of the Bucks for two seasons. He's worked with the Nets big men this season.
