King Won't Commit to Second Star

Do the Nets need another superstar, Dwight Howard for example, to compete in the East? The Heat have three of them. So do the Celtics...maybe four. The Knicks already have two and are still looking.  Not necessarily, says Billy King.

In one of the subtexts of Wednesday's meeting with the beat reporters, King said several times that there are different models for success in the NBA and a superstar duo or trio is just one of them. He said he and Deron Williams have discussed it.

"Maybe you get a player who becomes a superstar or maybe you get other players that fit and you win more games," said King. "I think it’s trying to build a team that he knows and we know we expect we’re going to win with."
