Nets Will Pick #27 and (Likely) #35

The Nets lost both tiebreakers for draft order Friday and will pick at #27 and likely #35 on June 23, barring trades.  The NBA reports that the Nets, who hold the Lakers' first round pick, lost the tiebreaker with the Mavericks in a series of random drawings supervised by Stu Jackson, the league's deputy commissioner.

The Jazz, who hold the Nets pick in the first round, lost to the Kings and will pick #6, depending on the lottery.

Also, dependent on the lottery is the Nets' second rounder.  The NBA reported in a footnote: "With respect to the tie between New Jersey and Sacramento (35 and 36): since the order of selection in the first round for this set of teams may change based on the results of the Draft Lottery, the order of selection in the second round cannot be determined until after the Draft Lottery is conducted." What that means is if Sac gets the #5 pick in the lottery, the Nets get #35.
