The Nets go into the NBA draft with two picks, the Lakers' first round pick and their own second round pick, but they will have to wait another day to find out where they will pick in June. The Lakers and Mavericks finished with identical 57-25 records so the Nets will have either the #26 or #27 pick in the first round. The Nets and Kings also tied with 24-58 records meaning the second round pick will be either #35 or #36.
The NBA will hold the drawings for tie-breakers Friday afternoon. Unlike ties for playoff seedings, draft picks aren't affected by conference records or head-to-head comparisons, just a simple drawing. Of course, the Jazz, who hold the Nets' first round lottery pick, have more of a vested interest in the drawing.
