Back when he was in grade school in San Antonio, Uzoh sat in the nosebleed seats at the Alamodome and the AT&T Center watching his heroes, including a point guard who he emulated. Project Spurs asked Uzoh if he ever mentioned his long-ago admiration to the man he now calls "Coach." Uzoh says he has, and more than once: "I've mentioned that to him a couple times so he thinks that's pretty cool. I think we definitely have a connection here."
