The Nets front office continues to be aggressive. Jonathan Givony reports that the Nets are offering the PNY Center for an early pre-draft combine to get around an NCAA rule that requires underclassmen to declare their draft status by May 8 or lose college eligibility. The workout, open to all 30 teams, would take place April 29-May 1.
Givony writes the deadline has put a "significant amount of pressure on NBA teams" who have to evaluate a large number of players in a short period of time, then disperse information that could influence whether the player decides to keep his name in the draft. The workout would be open not just to underclassmen but to seniors and international players .
