Gaines Out, D-Will Uncertain

The Nets don't know yet how many of their four point guards will be playing Friday vs. the Magic in Orlando.  Jordan Farmar is a definite and Ben Uzoh finally caught up with the team Thursday after weather delayed his flight Wednesday.  But Sundiata Gaines is out with a hip injury suffered against the Cavs and Deron Williams will arrive in Orlando Friday morning for a check-up of his strained wrist. His situation remains uncertain.

Bottom line: If Williams plays, and he might, then he'll start and Farmar will be the backup. If Williams does not play, then Farmar will start and rookie Ben Uzoh will back him up, with Sasha Vujacic, who played the point in Europe, in reserve.
