In an interview with Agence France Presse, Maria Sharapova talks about the differences between her and her soon-to-be husband, Sasha Vujacic. While she keeps most of her sports paraphernalia out of view, Sasha is more into it.
"I mean, the way he slept with his first pair of basketball shoes, I certainly would never sleep with mine. I slept with a pair of high heels," Sharapova said, apparently joking with the AFP reporter.
Still, the former Wimbledon and US Open champion (and the richest woman in sports) says Vujacic is very into basketball. "He just loves the sport so much. He just never wants to stop. He's actually scaring me a bit."
And in a quote that could have implications when Vujacic starts talking contract, the LA-based Sharapova notes how tough the travel has been on them. "It's wonderful to know that we have each other at the end of the day whether we're travelling. It's tough to be apart, there's no doubt, in so many different ways."
