Ben Uzoh had another good game for the Springfield Armor Sunday, with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the Armor's 112-75 blowout victory over the Sioux Fall Skyforce. But the big news in his development was the Nets decision to sign Sundiata Gaines to a two-year guaranteed contract.
What does that mean for Uzoh, Avery Johnson was asked. After all, the Nets have four point guards under contract for next season...including one who's an All-Star and less than four years older than Uzoh.
"We’ll see," Johnson said. "Ben’s doing well — he had a nice game down in the D-League (Saturday) night (17 points, eight assists, seven rebounds) and we’re going to be in a situation where we’re going to be evaluating our whole program once the season’s over."
