Ben Uzoh isn't having the kind of D-League tenure Terrence Williams had early in the season, but the Nets rookie point guard is getting minutes. Uzoh scored 17 points and handed out a game high eight assists in the Springfield Armor's 119-110 loss to Fort Wayne in a nationally televised NBA D-League game Saturday night.
Uzoh has been working with Dee Brown, the former NBA point guard who coaches Springfield.
"He’s been a real help," Uzoh said. "I’ve been picking his brain a lot, he’s been offering a lot of advice. So I’m just trying to take it in as best I can and learn on the fly. Just mature and be a leader."
