With his second 10-day contract about to run out, the Nets have decided to sign Sundiata Gaines for the last 15 games of the season, according to Scott Schroeder of Ridiculous Upside. Quoting a source, Schroeder tweets that Gaines has already signed. There was no confirmation from the Nets.
Gaines, who played with Deron Williams at Utah last season, is averaging 5.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 15 minutes for the Nets. In the Nets' upset of the Celtics earlier in the week, Gaines hit a critical three in the fourth quarter.
