He already owns a Gulfstream V, a yacht he can't always find, a $138,000 watch and an NBA team...not to mention a few gold mines. So what does the Most Interesting Man in the World buy next?
How about an island? Not a big island like Greenland...just a small, nicely appointed tropical island.
Yup. Mikhail Prokhorov has bought North Island in the Seychelles chain, off the southeastern coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. So says Pravda which means "Truth" so it has to be true! Prokhorov's assistant had no comment.
Pravda describes North (or Nor) island this way: "One of the most beautiful islands of the Seychelles archipelago" and notes that it boasts "a small luxury hotel" that can host 30 or 40 oligarchs and their guests. Cost, says Pravda, was 25 million euros, or about 35 million dollars. The Nets owner spent New Years jet-skiing on the island, reports Pravda. He liked it so much he bought it.
