Marc Stein, in his Weekend Dime, spoke to a number of scouts on a number of issues...one of them whether Deron Williams will be happy in New Jersey. An Eastern Conference scout told Stein not only is D-Will likely to be happy; he's likelier to be a lot happier, mainly because his new coach is likely to give him more freedom than his old coach.
"I really think he'll be much happier over there," the scout told Stein. "They're going to play a little bit more of a wide-open game, use more of his quickness. I know everyone wonders how he's going to get along with Avery [Johnson], but everyone I talk to says he's not as strict as they thought he was going to be. I think [Avery is] going to give him more freedom."
