Shelden Williams To The Nets

Should the Nets trade for Dwight Howard, they will already have a back-up. Adrian Wojnarowski tweets Friday, "Free agent forward Shelden Williams will sign a one-year deal with the New Jersey Nets, league sources tell Y! Sports."

Williams split last season with the Nuggets and Knicks, averaging 4.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in 14 minutes. Drafted #5 overall out of Duke in 2006 by the Hawks, he has played for six NBA teams. Known as "The Landlord" at Duke, the 6'9" PF/C is married to Candace Parker and is Anthony Parker's brother-in-law.

Should the Nets sign Josh Howard and trade for Dwight Howard, the Nets roster could have three Williams and two Howards.
