Who's New Behind the Scenes?

Sean Sweeney, once a top high school and college player in Minnesota, has accepted an assistant video coordinator position with the Nets. Sweeney had been an assistant coach at Northern Iowa. Sweeney will assist Video Coordinator Patrick Spurgin. His predecessor took a job with Larry Krystkowiak at the University of Utah.

Jeremy Bettle is the new strength and conditioning coach, bringing a Ph.D and a British accent from the University of California at Santa Barbara. There, he worked with Peak Performance Project, a favorite workout haunt of Deron Williams. It's his first NBA experience. He replaces long-time Net coach Rich Dalatri. As reported, both Mario Elie and P.J. Carlesimo have joined the team as assistants while Sam Mitchell has joined the scouting ranks.

Also new on the bench: Director of Team Security Robert Massiello, who's done security for entertainers, including Beyonce' and Rihanna. He replaces another long-time Net employee, Leroy Marshall.

Then of course there is David Diamante, the new Voice of the Nets and Barclays Center, and two arena MC's: Gassem Miles, a music promoter from Queens, and Gina Antoniello, a model from Monroe, NJ. They replace Marco G.
