Marc Stein reports that the Nets may bid for Arron Afflalo, the 6'5" swingman who's a restricted free agent. Aflfalo averaged 12.6 points on 47% shooting (42% from deep) for the Nuggets last season, improving his offense to go along with an already stellar defense.
"Sources say New Jersey and Minnesota are among the teams with salary-cap space weighing whether to extend an offer sheet after free agency officially starts Dec. 9 that the Nuggets will have three days to match to keep Afflalo." Stein also reports that the Lakers and Bulls are pressing the Nuggets on whether they'd be amenable to a sign-and-trade. Denver made a qualifying offer of $2.9 million to Aflfalo just before the lockout.
