Despite rumors, the Nets are unlikely to make any big moves soon. "The Nets are looking to ink Kris Humphries to a one-year deal to maintain flexibility," writes Stefan Bondy, "but are holding off on moves until it’s certain Orlando won’t deal Dwight Howard before the season starts."
The question, of course, is how long they will wait after that, or how long Humphries and Andrei Kirilenko can or will wait. The two are currently the top unsigned free agents out there, two forwards who reports have claimed the Nets are interested in.
The Nets roster looks thin, as even Deron Williams seemed to admit, noting that if they start to lose, "You guys are not going to like me, I know that. I get grumpy when I lose."
