FINALLY! The Nets will take the court for the first time in eight long months Saturday as the Knicks come crashing across the Hudson for the first of five meetings between the two teams this season, two in preseason and three in regular season.
For the Nets, who are still waiting on Kris Humphries and Andrei Kirilenko (and Otis Smith), it will mark the start of the franchise's last season in New Jersey and second one in Newark. All but one of the 16 Nets in camp should take the court, the 11 who have fully guaranteed contracts (minus Jordan Williams) plus Stephen Graham, Ime Udoka and the three Springfield Armor players.
For MarShon Brooks, Dennis Horner, and Jerry Smith, it will be their first time in an NBA uniform. Shelden Williams and Shawne Williams will be going up against their old teammates. The game will be seen locally on YES and MSG and nationally on NBA TV.
