Howard Says Magic Ignored His Roster Suggestions

New, comments

Dwight Howard again met with the Orlando media after practice on Sunday.

Peppered with questions about his trade request, Howard said that he wants out because the Magic have ignored his suggestions for players they should acquire via trade or free agency.

Howard said that he has "no relationship" with Magic GM Otis Smith, who said that he has consulted with Howard on moves.

Of a possible trade, Smith said that he's "not close to anything" and doesn't have a timetable. He also said that Howard staying the full season in Orlando is "a possibility."

When he was asked about the interview he gave in Russia where he said he wanted to play with Deron Williams and Anthony Morrow (among others), Howard said he didn't remember it.
