In keeping with the success of European teams led by Nets point guards, Maccabi Tel Aviv easily defeated another Israeli League opponent, Maccabi Ashdod, by 29 on Sunday. Jordan Farmar finished with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists in limited minutes. Maccabi Coach David Blatt played mostly Israeli players, giving his international charges time off.
On Thursday, Maccabi goes up against Efes Anadolu of Turkey in a Euroleague game. Farmar will play against his long time teammate, Sasha Vujacic, for the first time. The two played four years with the Lakers and one with the Nets.
