Multiple reports state that NBA executives have been told that they can start talking to agents about signing players at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, and practice facilities will open to players on Thursday. Deals can't be official until December 9 when free agency and training camps open, but there's nothing to stop teams from making handshake deals.
Coaches are anxious to get players back into gyms and begin working with them, but until December 9, only trainers and strength and conditioning coaches will be permitted on the court with players. Coaches and management can't even watch. Marshon Brooks was supposed to arrive in New Jersey Tuesday while Jordan Farmar and Jordan Williams flew out of Europe on Tuesday night. Damion James has also tweeted that he's on his way to New Jersey.
