Special happy feet edition! The Calendar of Dread has been torn asunder! We have basketball! Erase those European dates and those of the Benefit This, Charity That All-Star Tours! We have Opening Night, Free Agency, Return of the Traveling Williamses, Prokhorov Entourage Arrivals at Teterboro, Barclays Center Closings and Openings. Oh yeah!
Some of those latter dates aren't know yet, but that's okay. After five months of anxiety, we can wait.
December 1 - ConEd hooks the Barclays Center up to its power grid on a permanent basis, which will quicken the pace of interior construction. Roof should be enclosed sometime in January.
December 9 - Free agency and training camp open on the same day. Expect rumors to fly for several days beforehand. Most crucial days of Billy King's career ... at least since the trade deadline.
December 19 - Last day of Fall Semester for undergraduate courses at Providence College. MarShon Brooks is supposed to complete his degree requirements.
December 24 - Nets have to decide whether to extend Stephen Graham's contract, at the veteran's minimum or $1.1 million. It's entirely possible he is included as filler in a trade before that.
December 25 - NBA season opens with Christmas Day triple-header.
December 26 - Rumored date of Nets first game, reportedly against the Wizards in Washington.
February - Brooklyn Nets will reportedly unveil their new colors and uniforms.
February 26 - NBA All-Star Game in Orlando
March 7 - March 8 - NBA Games of London, Nets vs. Magic, if not canceled in revised schedule.
March - Trade Deadline.
April 26 - Regular Season Ends, last regular season game in New Jersey. Playoffs anyone?
