Optimist Emerges From the Ashes

It's "nuclear winter"!  It's "completely broken". Anti-trust lawyers are everywhere. Woe is us. But there's at least one optimist out there, someone who has found scraps of hope in the ashes.  Henry Abbott of ESPN's True Hoop (and a New Jersey resident) thinks it will end well.

Abbott marshals his eight reasons why this will end in negotiations, not in court, "There is no other way for it to end. Even if the process does reach the point where a judge makes a ruling, the judge is still not going to write a new agreement."  In fact, he notes the NBA expected this is what the union would do. "Indeed, they filed a lawsuit in August predicting it."  He doesn't have a lot of company.
