The 2011-12 season is in serious jeopardy meaning the Nets will probably never play another game in New Jersey. But even with that crushing news, the march to Brooklyn continues unabated.
Just before the players met to dissolve their union and likely end any chance for even a scrap of a season, the Nets announced that Billy King will join Brooklyn Boro President Marty Markowitz Tuesday to unveil the "Experience", a converted 40-foot trailer that will be used to sell suites around the New York metro area. Before that, King will serve up Thanksgiving meals for 200 Brooklynites with disabilities, the Nets noted.
Then after David Stern's statement, another press release: Barclays Center announced that John Calipari will be on hand Wednesday for a "major college basketball announcement", likely the official word that his Kentucky Wildcats will play the Maryland Terrapins in the arena's first college basketball game. And so it goes.
