The NBA went all out Sunday night in hopes of convincing players to go along with the owners' supposedly final offer for a new collective bargaining agreement. David Stern and Adam Silver took questions via Twitter, someone leaked a copy of the owners' proposal and even released a YouTube video on the proposal.
Reporters have already begun the process of analyzing how the proposal, if approved, would change the NBA, but few expect a quick or positive outcome. The players union's executive committee met Sunday night. All 30 team player reps will be briefed on the proposal Monday morning. Whether they or the union rank-and-file will vote on the proposal is uncertain. And to further complicate matters, new issues, like escrow and contraction, have arisen.
