December 2 - Jordan Williams is playing in the "Sports Athletic Enterprise Kidz into Action" benefit game at Nassau Coliseum, starting at 7:30 p.m.

December 15 - Earliest possible start for shortened NBA season, if players approve owners' proposal. Don't bank on it.

December 19 - Last day of Fall Semester for undergraduate courses at Providence College. MarShon Brooks completes his degree requirements.

December 30 - Efes Anadolu plays Besiktas in the Turkish League. Sasha Vujacic vs. D-Will...if the NBA lockout is still on.

January 7 - The absolute drop-dead date for cancellation of the 2011-12 season. If no agreement by this date, expect the entire 2011-12 season will be canceled.

February - Brooklyn Nets unveil their new colors and uniforms. If season has been canceled, expect that the New Jersey Nets will be put to rest at around the same time.

*Whenever the Nets open their season, they have to decide by the night before whether to extend Stephen Graham's contract, at the veteran's minimum.
