So what do you do if you have no games to plan for and you can't even talk to players?

"You do things in the community,'' Nets GM Billy King said Wednesday at Newark East Side. "You keep your name out there by letting people know that you’re giving back. That’s what you do.''

No NBA team has had more community events than the Nets, according to a team insider who follows the NBA's master list of events. Some have been related to the team's transition to Brooklyn but Wednesday's featured King, Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Kerry Kittles and Tiki Barber and was about helping Newark kids become more active.
