Bobby Marks turned into a hero for the media covering the CBA negotiations Wednesday afternoon when he sent 12 pizzas to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel as the talks dragged on and reporters became famished from both a lack of food and a lack of information.
Several of the writers, including Larry Coon and Ken Berger expressed their thanks through Twitter with Berger posting a photo of the empty boxes in a tower. The NBA and the union have taken turns over the past two weeks feeding the media beast, but on Wednesday the Nets assistant GM, with help from Gary Sussman, stepped into the breach and won the media's stomachs, if not their hearts and minds.
