The writers at CBS Sports' Eye on Basketball had a roundtable Friday on who are the big winners and losers in the lockout from a players' perspective. (They've all lost something, by the way.) And the big debate was over Deron Williams. Is his Turkish adventure a big winner or loser?
Ben Golliver says D-Will deserves credit for "zigging when everyone zags", that he's "accepting the challenge of a different lifestyle" and adding "Name one player who made more money playing basketball during the lockout than Deron Williams". Royce Young on the other hand writes "instead of pimping his profile here in the charity pro-am games, he's toiling away in Turkey in front of half empty arenas. What's so great about that?"
