Yes, the D-League has its own Draft Lottery and the Armor finished dead last Wednesday, but that's good! How so? The Armor had traded their first round pick to Tulsa last November to get the rights to Scottie Reynolds. So there's not buyers' regret over that deal.
More importantly for GM Milton Lee, the D-League utilizes a "serpentine" lottery in which teams alternate between rounds. So on November 3, the Armor will pick first in the second round, 17th overall; then last in the third, first in the fourth, etc., through the eight rounds. And no, Mikhail Prokhorov's money has no value here. Teams can't buy picks.
The Armor will hold local tryouts on October 22-23 in Springfield and open their training camp around November 15.
