The Nets were stung last week by Jason Kidd's comments that the franchise won't be able to attract free agents until Barclays Center is complete. The continuing progress means nothing said the ex-Net who was dragged to one meaningless event after another by Bruce Ratner.
Then, over the weekend, Carmelo Anthony said he doesn't really know much about the progress of construction at the corner of Flatbush and Atlantic avenues in his hometown. So to alert Melo and others, the Nets set up artist's renderings of their Brooklyn arena in the hall down from Melo's locker room, according to beat writers' tweets.
"And more is coming," said a Nets official.
