One of the Nets' big problems with the Carmelo Anthony trade talks was their inability to get a straight answer from the man himself. Now, it's Stefan Bondy's turn.
In an interview with Bondy, Melo answered, "I don't know" or "I don't really now" four times...about the Nets continuing interest in him, whether he would be receptive to a meeting with Mikhail Prokhorov and Jay-Z, what the Nets' "mindset" is, or how far along the Barclays Center is.
He did say he thought "it would have been important just to sit down" with Prokhorov, but made no commitment to signing an extension with the Nets and admitted "Everything has died down. So I really haven’t had a chance to figure out what’s going on."
