On a day trade speculation once again hit a fever pitch with reports of momentum up, momentum down; new partners for an old trade, the team's website posted a report on Monday's practice session in which Avery Johnson praised the two players the Nets are trying to trade, and calling news reports "trade talk still speculation."
"The idea is that on opening night this is our roster," said Avery Johnson. "Devin is not playing like he’s going anywhere. Favors definitely is not playing like he’s going anywhere. Right now, this is our team on opening night."
