Charley Rosen, that curmudgeon over at FOX Sports, analyzes the Melo-Drama and comes up with two conclusions of interest to Nets fans:
Carmelo Anthony is not a leader, not a willing defender and not someone a team can count on. He adds that the Nuggets have overvalued 'Melo.
"Just because a player is a bountiful point-maker doesn’t necessarily mean that he can be the backbone of a successful ball club", Rosen writes.
While Anthony would average more points per game with the Nets than any of the other teams pursuing him, "the Nets would still be a lottery team." What team should press hardest to get him? Rosen thinks the Rockets would be a championship contender with 'Melo.
