Please Welcome Back Eddie Gill!

ShamSports is tweeting that the Nets have brought back (for the seventh time!) Eddie Gill.  Gill is expected in New Jersey as a camp invite this weekend. The 6'0" point guard from Weber State played in the Ethias League in Belgium for the BASE Oostende team last season.

This marks the seventh time in a decade the 32-year-old Gill has either been signed by (six times) or traded to (once) the Nets. Here's his history with the team...

2001-03-26  - Nets sign Eddie Gill to a 10-day contract.

2001-04-08  - Nets sign Eddie Gill to a second 10-day contract.

2001-04-18  - Nets decline to re-sign Eddie Gill after his contract expired.

2004-06-24 -  Nets acquire Eddie Gill and $3 million in cash for the draft rights to Viktor Khryapa in a Draft Day trade with the Blazers

2004-07-06 - Nets waive Eddie Gill.

2007-10-01 - Nets sign Eddie Gill as a free agent (from Pacers).

2007-10-25 - Nets waive Eddie Gill.

2007-11-15 - Nets sign Eddie Gill as a free agent.

2007-12-12 - Nets waive  Eddie Gill.

2008-09-27 - Nets sign Eddie Gill as a free agent.

2008-10-23 - Nets waive Eddie Gill.
