NJ Transit riders bound for Newark were greeted with seat fliers Tuesday offering discounts on individual game tickets before they go on sale to the general public ("offer code: Transit"). Those on the Prudential Center mailing list were receiving email alerts offering them similar discounts ("offer code: Newark").
It's all part of the Nets "Experience It!" marketing effort, aimed at enticing fans to the Newark arena and helping them forget 12-70. On Thursday, when tickets go on sale to the general public, Billy King will be a guest with Evan and Joe on WFAN at 11:05 am.
