Nets Slowly Replenishing Front Office

At his first press conference back in May, Mikhail Prokhorov promised to deal with front office personnel issues this summer.  After the Bruce Ratner cutbacks, the Nets were left with fewer assistant coaches than any other NBA team, fewer scouts and no stat specialists.  Even executive assistants were at a premium in East Rutherford.

The team is now back up to full strength in the coaching department, with five basketball assistants and Rich Daltri, the team's strength and conditioning coach. As first reported by Fred Kerber, the Nets are next expected to hire Cavs scout Bob Ferry.  Ferry, the father of former Cavaliers GM Danny Ferry, is a two-time NBA Executive of the Year and put together the 1977-78 NBA champion Washington Bullets.
