David Lee would seem to be an ideal fit for the Nets and vice versa. The hard-driving Lee is a 20-10 guy who's the youngest of the PF candidates and has an established fan base in the New York area. Lee has said he would much prefer to stay in the New York area, if not with the Knicks.
But the Nets are patiently waiting for LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade to make up their minds before moving on. That could be a problem because although his agent, Mark Bartelstein, says the Nets have "huge" interest in Lee, "Some team could come along and say, 'Hey, we want to get something done.' "
While the Nets are in waiting mode, they are talking regularly to Lee, and perhaps others, til LeBron decides. "We talked [Saturday], we talked [yesterday] and we'll talk again [today]," said Lee's agent, Mark Bartelstein. "The Nets have real interest in David.
