Sam Amick of FanHouse says that Amare Stoudemire is going to make a week of of it. Unless the Knicks put a contract in front of him on Monday, he'll sit down with the Nets on Tuesday, then fly to Chicago, writes Amick. That's the first word that the Nets have scheduled a meeting with any free agent other than the Big Three.
Rod Thorn, however, says the meeting is not firm.
Critical to Stoudemire's decision may be a meeting he'll have Sunday with Mike D'Antoni, who coached him with the Suns and who he often battled with in Phoenix. Stoudemire didn't seem indecisive on Saturday, saying he could see Tony Parker and Carmelo Anthony joining him in the Big Apple.
