The Nets announced Thursday morning that they have signed undrafted rookies Brian Zoubek and Ben Uzoh, both of whom where named to their Summer League team earlier in the week. The contracts are for the rookie minimum and are partially guaranteed. They don't effect the team's cap space, replacing two of the four minimum cap holds that were already in place.
The Nets considered drafting both, even looked into buying a pick late in the second round. As one insider put it, the team got lucky when neither was drafted. In the hours after the draft, the Nets approached both and eventually signed them.
