Nets: "The Owner Is The Pitch"

When the Nets delegation sits down with LeBron James at 10 a.m. Thursday, the focus of attention will be the relationship between two 6'9" men with an excess of cash and charisma.

It's all about Mikhail Prokhorov and Lebron James, the Nets believe.

"There’s no pitching," said a Nets official told Al Iannazzone. "The owner is the pitch." What he means is that Prokhorov, with his outsized personality and big dreams, will likely tell James what the Nets believe can offer, from good teammates to recognition he can't find in Cleveland.

Fred Kerber says each member of the Nets delegation can offer something different during a three hour presentation.  After Prokhorov's global vision, Jay-Z will suggest opportunities in fashion, fragrance and entertainment, Rod Thorn and Avery Johnson will talk basketball, Brett Yormark marketing and Onexim CEO Dmitry Razumov, a member of the Nets board specific business opportunities.

Meanwhile, Thorn told NBA TV the team is "attempting to get two or three more million" more in cap space.
