Rod Thorn has finally said on the record that he's stepping away from his job as president of the Nets. He insists that no one is pushing him out, but that "It’s just time for me to go." Thorn confirms he'll play a part in finding his replacement and that the new boss will be hired "in a timely fashion." And he doesn't believe the transition will have an impact on the Nets' ability to sign free agents.
